Review
Cookie Clicker is a free game/app that is available for play on your computer or smartphone. The object of the game is to bake cookies.
The more cookies you bake, the more cookies you can bake, and the more cookies you can bake, the more cookies you can bake, and this point is never actually reached. You can sell cookies or buy upgrades for them, like bigger ovens or more cookie-baking assistants. If you don't like cookies, you can buy upgrades to make your game about cakes, donuts, or bagels instead. You can bake so many cookies so fast that there is a glitch in the game that makes it so you can get infinite cookies every time you click the cookie-baking button.
Gameplay
Cookie Clicker is an online browser game developed by Orteil. It is an incremental game that is based on the idle game design. The game starts with the introduction of a hand-drawn cookie character, which is used as the game's symbol. The player's task is to bake cookies, which may be used to purchase upgrades, buildings and other upgrades. The objective is to purchase a certain number of upgrades, which will allow the player to bake cookies automatically. These cookies may be used to purchase further upgrades. The game is endless and has no end goal.
Graphics
I wouldn't say that the concept of graphics is applicable to this game. You just click the cookie. That's it. No action or movement. The interface of the game is 2D and it is drawn in cartoonish style to make the game more attractive for kids.
Replayability
I wouldn't say this game has good replayability. Maybe the first time you play it and get hooked, you'll replay it a lot. But once you've played it a lot, the fun will disappear and the game will become boring. All your buildings will be maxed out and your cookies will be maxed out. And you'll just stop playing.
Controls
There are no controls. You press on the cookie. That's it. The game has good performance, though, for obvious reasons.
Conclusion
Cookie Clicker is a game that is fun at first, but becomes boring after a while. This game is targeted towards kids, but I still think it's good for people who like incremental games.
Pros:
- Free
- Simple and easy to play
- Good for killing time.
Cons:
- Boring.
