That’s How Tatooine Looks in Minecraft Build Main Image

Tatooine. One of the most iconic locations in the entire Star Wars saga. No wonder Minecraft fans tried to recreate it as long as the game exists. But this 4K*4K recreation takes it to an entirely new level of detail and similarity.

The author of the scene, some dillyg10, has shared the result of their work on Reddit and enjoyed fantastic (in both meanings) reception. The model of Tatooine has everything: buildings in the town and sand waves, desert regions and rocks, podracing treks and tribunes, imperial AT-AT’s, and even the broken ship in the desert.

It took the builder one year (and more than a thousand hours) to recreate the location. It looks more realistic (if we may say so about a fictional place in a sci-fi universe) than any earlier attempts by anyone. Still, the author does not want to stop. As dillyg10 says on Reddit, they plan to inhabit the terrain with mobs that behave as NPC should. It will make the entire feel even closer to the movies. These mobs are already made, so let’s wait until their deployment there.

This unofficial crossover has already been praised a lot, with over 25,000 people liking it in 24 hours. One of the most popular requests to the author was to make a backup: visitors are already terrified at the thought of this masterpiece being somehow deleted. Though, of course, it won’t, given the effort, it has already taken.

There is an entire website already showing this version of Tatooine, so you can see it at www.jedicraft.world. The overview of the map can be viewed on imgur as well. By the way, on the official site, there is even a store where you can purchase currency and skins (does Lucasfilm know?)

How do you like this Tatooine set? Are there any others that impressed you that much or more? Drop links to your favorite location recreations in Minecraft in the comments.

The app named Mind, which is to appear in watchOS 8, will take even more care of the user’s mental health. Little is known about it besides the name, though. What has appeared in the image that Apple published recently is the name “com.apple.Mind”, along with more apps that are probably to appear in watchOS 8. More information on this is expected during WWDC 2021, that started yesterday, on June 7, but the...

In iPadOS 15, this similarity will become even greater, because of improved multitasking. So, the rumor has it that the new iPadOS will look even more like a laptop. For example, the new home screen will be able to place widgets anywhere – like on its Android alternatives. Now, instead of dedicated section, you will be able to place widgets where you want them to be. Reviewed multitasking will allow your iPad to better handle multiple apps at the same...

In iOS 14.5, users for the first time got an option to block tracking within any single app. Now Google follows the same route with its mobile platform. In late 2021, Android will introduce the same possibility, though not for everybody at the same time. You won’t have to wait for the next major update to see apps ask you whether you will let them track you and access your data. All it takes is a Google Services update, and Alphabet is already working on it. So,...
