It’s official. Mojang has confirmed that the new Minecraft update 1.18 (a.k.a. Caves and Cliffs, part 2) is coming to Android devices. It will be released as an .APK installable file simultaneously with the same update for other platforms, both mobile and stationary.

Caves and Cliffs was first announced in 2020, and it was said to be the most significant update to Minecraft ever. The first part of it is already available since June 8, and the upcoming update is the second part of it. As for the new update, it arrives on November 30, at 10 am EST; you can count hours and minutes already.

The update will bring new sights, including fantastic shiny mountains and dark caves, and a lot of new and renovated biomes. They will include meadows, groves, snowy slopes, stony, jagged or frozen peaks, and dripstone or lush caves. The previews of these do impress, as shown on the official pictures and videos.

The new biomes bring the spirit of exploration and adventure to the game – that’s what we lacked in most Minecraft updates. Of course, if you are into building locations rather than just exploring, you can include these into your worlds. And the renovations are numerous as never before, so there is a reason to call this update the biggest.

It won’t take any special tricks to install the update. For most Android devices, it will be available on Google Play. If you have turned on automatic updates, it will be even simpler. But for devices with no Google services, the only way is to download .APK and install it manually, replacing the previous installation.

Are you already looking forward to it? Did you like the preview? Maybe by the moment you’re reading this your Minecraft has already got the update. Does it function correctly? Any bugs? And which new biome did you like the most? Drop a comment below to share your impressions!

The app named Mind, which is to appear in watchOS 8, will take even more care of the user’s mental health. Little is known about it besides the name, though. What has appeared in the image that Apple published recently is the name “com.apple.Mind”, along with more apps that are probably to appear in watchOS 8. More information on this is expected during WWDC 2021, that started yesterday, on June 7, but the...

In iPadOS 15, this similarity will become even greater, because of improved multitasking. So, the rumor has it that the new iPadOS will look even more like a laptop. For example, the new home screen will be able to place widgets anywhere – like on its Android alternatives. Now, instead of dedicated section, you will be able to place widgets where you want them to be. Reviewed multitasking will allow your iPad to better handle multiple apps at the same...

In iOS 14.5, users for the first time got an option to block tracking within any single app. Now Google follows the same route with its mobile platform. In late 2021, Android will introduce the same possibility, though not for everybody at the same time. You won’t have to wait for the next major update to see apps ask you whether you will let them track you and access your data. All it takes is a Google Services update, and Alphabet is already working on it. So,...
