Well, Call of Duty: Mobile has been around for some time. But these modern multiplayer games are constantly introducing new features that have to be tested. No wonder that some time before Season 6 starts, Activision launched testing it through beta versions. Gamers are curious to taste new features before others can do it now.

According to the official post on Reddit, the new season will introduce two new maps, named Slums and Stacks. Little is known about them except names, though. The gameplay will be enriched with new operator skills, perks, and scorestreaks. New weapons will be here, too: at least grenades are already confirmed.

As for Zombies mode, it’s been rumored for some time. But this time, it’s not coming, at least, not right now. Instead, the beta players will be the first to enjoy the optimized Battle Royale mode. There might be nothing new, as Battle Royale is no more a new thing. Rather it is a must for almost any multiplayer shooter. Still, it’s interesting how the experience has been improved.

The beta version is available on both iOS and Android (logically, as cross-platform matching needs to be tested too). Android users need to simply download and launch an APK file, while those on iOS need to participate in the Test Flight program by downloading the eponymous app from the App Store. The number of testers required for each platform, though, is limited to 30K, so you might be just too late… until the new testing round starts. Along with playing the game, the chosen few will be interviewed and surveyed about various aspects of the beta experience.

The size of the beta app is about 2 GB, similar to the stable version. Along with new maps, modes, and weapons, it also brings in some minor UI improvements and – certainly – some bugs the developers want to catch during this beta testing.

The app named Mind, which is to appear in watchOS 8, will take even more care of the user’s mental health. Little is known about it besides the name, though. What has appeared in the image that Apple published recently is the name “com.apple.Mind”, along with more apps that are probably to appear in watchOS 8. In iPadOS 15, this similarity will become even greater, because of improved multitasking. So, the rumor has it that the new iPadOS will look even more like a laptop. For example, the new home screen will be able to place widgets anywhere – like on its Android alternatives. Now, instead of dedicated section, you will be able to place widgets where you want them to be. Reviewed multitasking will allow your iPad to better handle multiple apps at the same...

In iOS 14.5, users for the first time got an option to block tracking within any single app. Now Google follows the same route with its mobile platform. In late 2021, Android will introduce the same possibility, though not for everybody at the same time. You won’t have to wait for the next major update to see apps ask you whether you will let them track you and access your data. All it takes is a Google Services update, and Alphabet is already working on it. So,...
